Faraway Town was founded in 1888, originally established as a small agricultural hub known for its fertile soil and strong local lumber industry. Over the generations, it has maintained its small-town charm while growing into a residential community known for its excellent public schools and commitment to historic preservation.
The town is governed by a five-member Town Council and a Mayor, dedicated to managing the town's infrastructure, public safety, and educational resources. Faraway prides itself on its strong sense of community, symbolized by the historic Town Park and the annual Fall Festival.
Our mission is to foster a safe, inclusive, and economically sustainable environment, ensuring that Faraway remains a cherished place to live, work, and raise a family for years to come.
